We are honored to host the annual Carolinas Treble Choirs Festival through the Royal School of Church Music. This will be the sixth weekend St. John’s has served as host for this gathering of young singers from across the region.

The festival will be directed by Homer Ferguson, Director of Music at Emmanuel Church in Southern Pines, NC. Our own Organist and Master of the Choirs, Alan Reed, will serve as host and organist for the weekend.

Through the RSCM training program, singers grow in vocal technique, music reading, and a deeper understanding of hymn and anthem texts rooted in Scripture, progressing through levels that recognize both musical development and faithful service.

The festival choir will lead music at our principal service.

Sunday, March 15 - 3:00pm

A service of Evensong will be offered in the Nave.

(Evensong is a treasured Anglican service of psalms, canticles, anthems, and prayer. It is reflective, beautiful, and centered in Scripture.)

We warmly invite you to join us for worship at 10:15am and to return at 3:00pm for Evensong. Come experience the beauty of the Anglican choral tradition and support these young singers as they offer their gifts to the glory of God.
