The world often feels overwhelming—with conflict abroad, division at home, and troubling news on every side. As Christians, how do we make sense of it all?

Fr. Peter is leading a new class, Faith in the Headlines, beginning Wednesday, October 1 at 6:00 p.m. (following the Wednesday night suppers at St. John’s). This class will explore how to think theologically about current events, beginning with a foundation in Christian teaching—Scripture, the nature of good and evil, the uniqueness of American Christianity, and more.

Through the fall, we’ll build this foundation, and after Christmas we’ll apply it to pressing issues such as war, immigration, vaccines, environmental disasters, cultural change, suffering, and the presence of God in a troubled world. Each week will include teaching, reflection, and discussion.

All are welcome to join this time of learning, discernment, and faithful conversation. Come share your questions, worries, and hopes as together we seek God’s wisdom for our times.
