Details
Foyer (French for “hearth/heart(h)side”) evokes warmth, welcome, and fellowship. Across generations and cultures, people have gathered around a central place—often near the kitchen—to celebrate, share stories, and build community. In this same spirit, the Anglican tradition has long encouraged small, informal parish gatherings called Foyer Groups: close-knit circles of parishioners who grow friendships through shared meals and conversation.
Three Ways to Participate
Traditional Foyer Groups
Groups of ~10 meet monthly in homes to share a meal. Hosts provide the main course; others bring complementary dishes.
Dine-Out Groups
Groups of ~10 meet monthly at local restaurants. Members take turns choosing the spot and making the reservation. (Everyone pays for their own meal.)
Substitute List
Not ready to commit? Join the sub list! You’ll be invited to fill in when a group has a last-minute opening or wants to expand for an evening.
