INFORMATION ON SIGNING UP

Do you wrestle with how to be inclusive and wonder how a church can be inclusive AND reflective of all of God’s children? What about struggling with language as well as practicing the pursuit of diversity? Can today’s churches survive, even be resurrected, at the intersections of race, sexuality, class, and faith background?

A book study of The  Rev. Dr. John Cleghorn’s book, “Resurrecting Church: Where Justice and Diversity Meet Radical Welcome and Healing Hope,” will be held weekly beginning Wednesday, April 26, at 6:30 p.m., in Room 204/205. Bob MacCaughelty and Mary Waller will lead the discussion.

“Resurrecting Church: Where Justice and Diversity Meet Radical Welcome and Healing Hope” is available on Amazon.com if you’d like to ground yourself in advance of the conversation.

On Wednesday, May 10, in Tilson Hall, following Wednesday Night Supper, join The Way Forward for a conversation with Charlotte’s own Rev. Dr. John Cleghorn of Caldwell Presbyterian Church, who will share his personal liberation journey, and those of his congregation and several missional, diverse congregations in the US, and the challenge of applying an intersectional lens that can help us free ourselves from whatever keeps us stationary.
